Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon (half sliced, half juiced)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Steamed vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, or green beans) for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Salmon:

    • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on a plate and drizzle with olive oil, ensuring both sides are lightly coated.
  3. Season the Salmon:

    • Sprinkle minced garlic, dried dill, salt, and pepper evenly over the salmon fillets. Gently rub the seasonings into the fillets.
  4. Lemon Infusion:

    • Squeeze half of the lemon over the salmon fillets, ensuring a zesty flavour. Place lemon slices on top of each fillet for an extra burst of citrus during cooking.
  5. Air Fry the Salmon:

    • Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets into the air fryer basket. Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon should be opaque and easily flaked with a fork.
  6. Serve with Steamed Vegetables:

    • While the salmon is cooking, steam your favourite vegetables to accompany the dish. Broccoli, asparagus, or green beans work well.
  7. Plate and Enjoy:

    • Once the salmon is done, transfer it to serving plates along with the steamed vegetables. Squeeze the remaining lemon juice over the top for a fresh finish.
  8. Garnish with Fresh Dill (Optional):

    • If you have fresh dill on hand, sprinkle some over the salmon just before serving for a pop of colour and added flavour.
